With green grassy knolls

Fly me to the moon

My breath is taken away

Though oxygen is too low

From here I’ll never stray

Leave the gold for the fools

Let them reap what they sew

This place is filled with beauty

To which most shall never know

On my neck you’ve left your stain

Countess Dracula bend me to your will

Your body is a weapon

And those eyes shoot to kill

Your father, a maker of glass

The world is dead broke

We’re trapped in a recession

We have nothin’ in our pockets

To let us pay attention

To the graffiti on the walls,

The shriek of the streets,

To the ever smiling faces,

The lack of good eats

Empty minds, empty wallets

All one in the same

Both are filled with lint

Such a cryin’ shame

Frugal penny pinchers

Save what you got

Too cheap to pay attention

Spirit proceeds to rot

I think I like the view

I see ignorance below me

At the center I see you

I’ve found the softest of the clouds

I can rest and lay my head

I’m flying high upon this vessel

My dreams are never dead

Red is in my heart

Blue, I’ve given to you

Yellow warms my soul

White clogs not my view

Flicker in and out,

Enticingly

Beams course

Through my being

With unimaginable speed

Hypnotize me now!

O flashing ultraviolet!

I long to know

The splendor

That is you

Whisper to me

Slow

Lull my mind to sleep

Thus concludes my second installment of poems for this new blog. At this time, being in college for a couple of years, my new experiences gave me new inspiration and events to draw from. It was after this collection of poems that I began to think about writing as more than a hobby. I thought it fitting to call this chapter RIGHTEOUS FLOW.
